How to find a Private Tutor for yourself or anyone else
If you are struggling with your studies whether it is for GCSE, A’ Level or at degree level, now-a-days there are many private tutors who can help you through your struggle. Choosing a private tutor can be a daunting task because you have to find the one that is just the right for you. It’s just like interviewing someone for a job post. Here are few hints and tips to look out for when trying to find a private tutor.
1) Always do an internet search and find out tutors list in your area. Note down their name and number. Also register your interest in few tuition agencies.
2) Before calling a private tutor, make a list of things to ask to the tutor. Also make a list of things that the tutor may ask you.
3) List things to ask for tutor such, tutor’s background and qualifications, years of experience, any references available? Is the tutor CRB checked?
4) List of things that your tutor should ask you and you should have it ready for the tutor. The subject you require help in. What is the level or background of your subject such as A’ Level or GCSE and also which exam board such as AQA, OCR etc.
5) Always ask the tutor for a tester lesson and enquire about any discount rate.
6) When booking the first lesson, ask the tutor about the material that he/she would bring with them and what should you have ready when they come such as books or notes etc.
7) Never book lesson in bulk at first instance. Always check the tutor for first lesson and see if you are comfortable with their style of teaching.
